ANGER MANAGEMENT

This program encourages and trains individuals to successfully understand their emotions and to practice healthy ways to handle their anger. Providing alternative coping mechanisms participants learn how to redirect their behavior in a positive direction. This program is appropriate for individuals who demonstrate inadequate coping skills, explosive anger, or acts of abuse or violence.

 

DRUG AND ALCOHOL EDUCATION

This course is designed to help individuals examine the attitudes and decisions that lead them to ingesting harmful drugs and alcohol, and to realize the effects of these decisions on themselves and society. Individuals will acquire skills teaching them to face the challenges of life without using substances. People exhibiting the following anti-social behaviors benefit from participating in this program: illegal drug use, possession, sales, transportation of illegal drugs, illegal use of prescription medication and illegal use or sales of alcoholic beverages.

 

FIREARMS SAFETY

This course will cover the fundamentals of firearm safety, children and firearms, the different types of firearms, as well as safe storage and maintenance.

 

LIFESKILLS

Many referring agencies use this course as a foundational program to address criminal thinking and overcome negative and destructive behavioral patterns. People exhibiting the following anti-social behaviors all benefit by taking this program:  violation of court orders, discharging firearms, joyriding, trespassing public intoxication, failure to appear, providing false information to peace officers, conspiracy to commit any crime, evading arrest, disturbing the peace, arson, hit and run, and soliciting to commit a crime.

 

THEFT

Participants examine the attitudes that lead them to take other people’s property. Individuals challenge their current belief system and consider the consequences of their actions. People exhibiting the following anti-social behaviors benefit from participating in this program: burglary, petty theft, grand theft auto, shoplifting, giving, selling, or receiving stolen property, identity theft, and auto tampering.

 

VICTIM IMPACT

This course is designed to help individuals examine the effect their actions have harmed victims, and their communities. This class is intended for offenders who have committed theft violations. This program provides offenders with the opportunity to change their thinking and behavior, and how their actions have harmed victims.
